Frequently Asked Questions

How long will the 5k run take?

Finishing times vary of course, but our fastest runners will complete the run in about 25 minutes. Most runners will fall between 30-45 minutes. We will be sweeping the course at one hour from the starting time to ensure all runners have returned to the starting area.

CAN I WALK?

GOTR girls are encouraged to walk, skip, hop, or dance their way across the finish line! For those family members who wish to walk, a modified course for walkers will be available, which shortens the race by approximately 3/4 mile. The point at which to veer off from the runners will be clearly marked. The walking route is best for strollers or anyone that finds their "happy pace" in walking!

What is in the Village?

The GOTR Village has lots of un activities for children and families. Our "Happy Hair" will be hosted by the Hair Cuttery of New Hope, sidewalk chalk, bib and poster decorating, GOTR merchandise, the Kona-Ice truck, sponsor giveaways, and more exciting activities can be found in the GOTR Village. It's a great place to spend time before and after the race!

WHERE CAN I GET A CUSTOM BACK BIB?

Customized back bibs for your girl can be ordered from our partner, Boulder Bibs at this site: http:YourBibs.com/gotrhbwcounties. Bibs will be mailed directly to you in the weeks prior to the race, so watch your mail!

Are there aid stations available?

Water will be available at the start. Two Aid stations will be available on the course. Each participant should plan to take no more than two servings of water at each Aid Station. Runners are also encouraged to bring water bottles along on the course. Additional water and snacks will be available at the finish line.

Where should I park?

Official event parking is provided in the school parking lot on the New Hope School District campus at the elementary, middle and high schools.

Can I bring my dog or pet?

For safety, furry friends are not allowed on the course or at the event. Please leave all pets at home.
