Fall 2022 Season Launch

We had an excellent launch to our Fall 2022 season for sites that started in the past two weeks. The girls are really starting to come together with their teams! They started their first practice with establishing group expectations and created their unique "GOTR name" that stays with them throughout the whole season.

At GOTR it is especially important that all the girls across 3rd - 5th for GOTR and 6th - 8th for Heart & Sole get to know one another and create new friendships. The coaches also spend extra time with each girl so they can learn as much as possible about them too!

During the middle of every practice the girls do a fun warm-up and workout that is not just running laps. GOTR has created unique games for the girls so that they can run and work up towards finishing the 5K!

At the end of every practice the girls reflect on what they learned by writing a word, quote or picture on their Identity Card. This card is like a toolbox for the girls to keep track of everything they have learned through out the season.  They also use the back of the card to keep track of their laps for each week.  The practice then closes with a wrap-up and energy award! "Girls on the Run is so much fun!"
